Not only is U2 the biggest and best rock band they’re the inspiration for the flying wizard effect from Harry Potter.

The one thing I really loved about Journey and Steve Perry in comparison to so many bands at the time is that you could actually hear and understand him over the music which is not the case for so many at the time. They were the best band of the time and a pleasure to see in concert. The term your looking for is not sensitive but empathetic which are similar.

Glad you liked this song by Billy! i heard him say and or i might of read it is in biography ; there were no punk bands back in the day that could make a slow pretty song and he wanted to do that with Eyes without a face. and he did do it! he has so much great music; his guitarist is the great Steve stevens! I highly recommend you do his biggest here on here Rebel Yell; then Blue Highway, White Wedding; Dancing with myself, Cradle of love; Hot in the city; Flesh for fantasy and to be a lover. Billy's music back then and now still rocks! and yes the brit's were more interesting in this era. Billy was our Elvis of the 80's;i grew up listening to him.

I want to thank you for this reaction and all your reactions really even if I might not completely agree with everything you say, I understand where you are going with it, I appreciate your honesty, especially in this song…….I’m a huge Linkin Park fan but I was late to the greatness that is LP and Chester as I really, REALLY got to know them in 2020 when we were all stuck inside because of Covid…..I was familiar and knew a few of their songs but what got me hooked was that first reaction video of Chester and Mike doing that cover of Adele’s song “ Rolling In the Deep” and that was it for me, I was hooked, I fell in love with this band and Chester and his INCREDIBLE voice, I cried when I watched it and heard that voice of his…..there are not enough words to describe Chester and his voice, he is absolutely my #1 all time favorite vocalists and I know there are many out there but for me there is no comparison……I am 56 yrs old sooo yeah it’s a big deal to me……..I love all of the guys in the band, Linkin Park lives on with me forever ❤️

Love hearing everyones interpretation- "THIS IS ART" hits everyone differently

From my perspective, I see this song more as like… bettering yourself, getting rid of bad coping mechanisms, breaking free from generational trauma and letting go of things that don’t serve you anymore. We all have our ‘krutches’ lol, but oftentimes they aren’t beneficial for us, just something we use to numb the pain. And sometimes the people we surround ourselves with are actually bringing us down or are in the same boat we are in, so our sudden change to become better can be startling to them, which is the “I hold the keys, so don’t be scared when I turn and shout”. It’s seeing the situation you’re in and how damaging it is to you and everyone there with you but everyone else around you doesn’t see it the way you do. And all it takes is one person to open the eyes of another. It talks about skeletons in the closet, and turning a blind eye to the things you see. It takes a lot of strength to be the one to go against what’s always been done. And them, breaking out of the norm, rising to their full potential as a king or queen, can inspire everyone else to do the same. So as a fly on the wall, witnessing everything going on around you, do you make a change? Or do you continue living how you were because that’s what’s safer and more comfortable for you?

Just thought I would say, apparently the song is about a boy who is either alcoholic or drug addicted that Steve knew in his hometown when he was younger. How the family was torn because of it. The seventh son in folklore usually means that they have some sort of healing powers. So basically, I take this song to mean the son has many problems but feels he’ll heal himself and it will all be fine, but the family is a mess with worry and at that time a lot of embarrassment and accusations that the parents didn’t stop this from happening to him. They really DID sound that good. In fact they were better live! Extraordinary musicians, and Steve Perry‘s voice is just unmatched… Absolutely phenomenal. I was in junior high when this came out and that was a long time ago… I’ve been a fan from day one. They’re amazing.
